The toy train is not edible
Seasons’ greetings everyone! For a holiday treat, I thought I’d showcase the Fairmont Hotel’s gingerbread house.
The San Francisco hotel goes all out for Christmas with a gigantic tree and its gingerbread creation, which could be a mini home for any of the city’s homeless in the neighborhood. The two-story gingerbread house sits in the middle of the lobby at the entrance to its tea room, and guests and visitors can easily walk through the 22-feet-high totally edible house.
The gingerbread house has a nutcracker theme and a little snow village with moving train. Along with the home-baked gingerbread bricks, the house is made with about 2,000 pounds of royal icing and assorted candies.
