Seasons’ greetings everyone! For a holiday treat, I thought I’d showcase the Fairmont Hotel’s gingerbread house.
The San Francisco hotel goes all out for Christmas with a gigantic tree and its gingerbread creation, which could be a mini home for any of the city’s homeless in the neighborhood. The two-story gingerbread house sits in the middle of the lobby at the entrance to its tea room, and guests and visitors can easily walk through the 22-feet-high totally edible house.
The gingerbread house has a nutcracker theme and a little snow village with moving train. Along with the home-baked gingerbread bricks, the house is made with about 2,000 pounds of royal icing and assorted candies.
My photos are wrapped up in the slideshow below, which, as always, is also archived in my Exhibits section.
Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Happy holidays!

That hotel DOES go all out. Nothing like getting a perfect dose of holiday glam and glitz than by visiting the Fairmont at this time of year.
